A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST
Friday.

* Timing... a band of snow will move slowly westward from the James
Valley and a part of northeast Nebraska to near the Missouri
Valley from Chamberlain to Springfield tonight.

* Accumulations... snowfall of 2 to 5 inches is expected... with the
highest amounts expected in higher elevations west of the James
River Valley.

* Wind and visibility... northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph will
continue through tonight... briefly reducing visibilities to a
half mile or less at times in the falling and blowing snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas.




Flood Warning
Statement as of 10:12 am CST on March 11, 2010


The Flood Warning continues for
the James River near Scotland.
* From this afternoon until further notice.
* At 09am Thursday the stage was 12.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by 4 PM Thursday and crest near
17.6 feet by Tuesday March 30.
* At stages near 18.0 feet... Highway 44 south of Milltown and keiber
Road in Milltown will be flooded.
